I set out to find the best pizza in Sioux Falls, and it turned into a tour of New York-style, Chicago deep dish, and thin crust. I visited each spot in person, from a food truck turned storefront to a laundromat turned pizzeria. Four made the list, and each has a story and a pizza worth ordering.

    Big Poppa's started as a food truck, and owner Anthony Axtell opened a store front in 2024. You get both New York-style hand-tossed pizza and Chicago-style deep dish here. It's known for the deep dish, with eight specialty flavors or a build-your-own option. I'd start with the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, and they deliver to nearby areas if you'd rather stay in.
